Applying ‘filters’ is a great way to isolate the products that you want to view in your products grid. Instead of viewing all of the products in your site, you can narrow down what you’re viewing by applying a filter based on the category, price, brand, and other designations that the products are allocated to. This works in addition to the search bar on top of the products grid, which you can use to search your inventory with keywords that may be in the product name or description. Using these features is a great way to make it easier to make bulk changes to your products, should you need to make the same change to multiple products at one time.
The search feature can be seen highlighted in the top in red, while your filters will be on the right titled ‘Narrow Results’.
Once applying a filter, a button will appear near the bottom of the ‘Narrow Results’ list titled ‘Clear Filters’. This allows you to clear all filters applied and view all the products once again. You can also use the green ‘X’ next to individual filters to clear just that filter if you have more than one filter applied. A similar button appears next to the search field, this button is simply an ‘X’ that represents clearing the search bar. All three buttons are highlighted in the image below.
Things To Keep In Mind:
Usable filters in the ‘Narrow Results’ column only appear if they have products allocated to them. So if you have a category or brand with no products in it, they will not be available for you to use as a filter until products have been allocated to them.
Using SKU numbers to search for products currently will not pull up variant products. If you need to search for variants, we recommend doing so by name for the time being.
Searches and filters that are applied will stay applied until you remove them. This means if you leave a search or filter applied and log out of Warhead, it will still be applied when you log back in, even if a year passes by.
If you ever aren’t seeing all of the products you think should be in your site, always start by clearing your search and filters. This is the most common reason for Warhead users believing their products have been deleted.
While variant products can be used in conjunction with the ‘Search’ feature, they cannot be viewed using the ‘Narrow Results’ fields at this time. If you need to make bulk changes to variant products, please consult with a technician on the best way to do this.
These features are also available to use on the categories page should you need to use them there to manage your categories. They function exactly the same on this page.
